What is Yoga Therapy?

  • Yoga therapy is like using yoga as a medicine for health and well-being.
  • Yoga therapy can be enjoyed as a practice in itself or for recovery from injury or illness.
  • Yoga postures and sequences are modified to accommodate individual needs along with a combination of breathing exercises and relaxation.
  • You'll find similar exercises in yoga therapy to those in physiostherapy and pilates for example.  What's the difference?  Yoga looks at the whole body and co-ordinates movement with breath for well-being through a holistic experience.
